About Georgia Kapareliotis

Georgia Kapareliotis graduated with a Bachelor of Optometry from the Rand Afrikaans University (now the University of Johannesburg), one of South Africa's most respected optometry programmes. Since qualifying, she has dedicated her career to providing exceptional eye care to patients in Sandton and across the northern suburbs of Johannesburg.

Over more than three decades in clinical practice, Georgia has built a reputation for thoroughness, warmth, and genuine commitment to each patient's visual wellbeing. Her approach combines rigorous clinical assessment with clear, accessible communication — ensuring every patient understands their diagnosis and treatment options.

Her practice at Manor Medical Centre in Morningside Manor has served generations of patients, from children coming in for their first eye tests to adults managing age-related vision changes. Georgia takes pride in the long-term relationships she builds with her patients and the trust that comes from consistent, expert care over many years.

Three Principles That Guide Our Practice

01

Patient-Centred Care

Every consultation is tailored to the individual patient. We take time to understand your vision concerns, lifestyle, and health history before making any recommendations. No two patients are the same, and your care plan should reflect that.

02

Clinical Thoroughness

We conduct complete, unhurried eye examinations that assess not just your visual acuity, but the overall health of your eyes. Early detection of conditions like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy can make a significant difference to long-term outcomes.

03

Clear Communication

You should always leave a consultation fully understanding your eye health. We explain findings in plain language, discuss your options honestly, and give you the information you need to make confident decisions about your vision care.
